Patricia E. Gallagher received her MLS from Queens College, CUNY, and her MA from Hunter College, CUNY. She is currently Senior Librarian at the New York Academy of Medicine; previously she worked as Librarian in the Helene Fuld School of Nursing, and Assistant Director and Archivist at the Phillips Library of Beth Israel Medical Center, both in New York City. In addition, she is the author of "Consider the Source: A Selective Guide to Authoritative Health Information on the Internet" Health Care on the Internet 1999, 3(4): 39-58. Ms. Gallagher is a Distinguished Member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals, Chair of the NOAH Content Committee and Managing Editor of NOAH.

Andrew Hamilton is currently a Reference Librarian in the Library of the Oregon Health Sciences University. Previously, he was an Online Analyst with the National Online Training Center (NOTC), and spent three years as a Clinical Medicine Information Specialist in the Reference Department of the New York Academy of Medicine Library. Before becoming a librarian, Mr. Hamilton amassed an extensive scientific background in Molecular Biology and Pharmacology. He earned two B.S. degrees in Microbiology and Biology/Genetics from Oregon State University in 1985. He was awarded a Molecular Biology Fellowship in 1986 from the University of Utah and completed the Ph.D. level core curriculum and first-year lab rotations. He realized that he was not cut out for lab work and left the program in 1987 to pursue other opportunities. He earned his M.L.S. as part of a Drug Information Specialist Double Master's Program, graduating from St. John's University in 1993 with a dual M.S.- Pharmaceutical Sciences/M.L.S degree. He was nominated by St. John's and was selected to attend the 1994 Snowbird Leadership Institute for Librarians. Mr. Hamilton has also been active with the Medical Library Association's Pharmacy and Drug Information SIG, having served as the Editor of their Newsletter, PDI Alert, from 1996 to 1999.
